Welcome!

Each year, the Alaska Advanced Trauma Training Institute features local Alaskan and national experts who share the latest research and advances in the neurobiology of traumatic stress, trauma-informed systems, and clinical interventions for complex trauma in children and adults. This high-quality professional development opportunity exists to expand the knowledge of and support the development of trauma-informed care for behavioral health and social service providers across Alaska.

This event is hosted by the Alaska Child Trauma Center at Alaska Behavioral Health with support of the State of Alaska, Department of Health, Division of Behavioral Health. Due to this generous support, registration fees are waived for all participants. There is no virtual attendance option at this time.

Alaska Behavioral Health has partnered with the Marriott Anchorage Downtown hotel (next to the Dena’ina Center venue location) to offer a limited number of discounted rooms to Trauma Institute attendees. Continuing Education

This conference is sponsored and approved by the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services. In conjunction with statue 12 AAC 62.320 of the State of Alaska Board of Licensed Professional Counselors, Trauma Institute attendees are eligible for up to (10) continuing education hours for professional development purposes.

Alaska Behavioral Health is in the process of applying for 10 CEU’s for this conference with the State of Alaska Board of Social Work Examiners. Updates will be posted as they are received. Please check back for more information.
