AK-RISES, Alaska – Resiliency In Schools for Educational Success (Fairbanks)
AK-RISES is a partnership between the Alaska Child Trauma Center, State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District to expand mental health services in Fairbanks schools for children who have experienced trauma. The goal of the five year demonstration project is to develop a statewide model for delivering mental health services in schools. AKBH clinicians currently provide services in person at:
- Lathrop High School
- Ryan Middle School
- Hunter Elementary School
- Arctic Light Elementary School.
Telehealth appointments are available to students enrolled at these schools through e-learning. To request school-based services at one of these schools, please talk to your school’s counselor.
