It's Sleep Awareness Week! It's estimated that as many as 90% of U.S. teens don't get enough sleep, which affects schoolwork, safety, and mental health.
Not all the factors contributing to poor sleep are under our control, there are things we can do to help:
- maintain consistent bedtimes and routines
- minimize caffeine intake, especially after 2 pm
- minimize screentime before bed

In FY 2025, we focused on improving access to care, by implementing a new call center to more quickly schedule patient appointments, initiating a Collaborative Care program to connect primary care clients to short-term behavioral health supports, and adding an Intensive Outpatient Program of children and teens in Anchorage to provide quick support for kids in crisis. We're proud that we served more Alaskans than ever in FY 2025!
