Sierra’s Designs: A Pop-Up Art Show to Honor Sierra’s Memory and Benefit Alaska Seeds of Change

Sierra Parker was a dedicated volunteer at Alaska Seeds of Change for several years.  She helped with graphic design and led teams of volunteers from her workplace. When COVID hit, she had lunch delivered to the youth. She died of alcoholic cirrhosis in January 2022. To raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol, honor her memory, and support programs she loved, her mother has curated a collection of her work and sells it at festivals and pop-up events. We are honored to be hosting this event for First Friday in November.

When: November 4, 5 to 7 pm

Where: The POWER Center, 2601 Arctic Boulevard in Anchorage

For anyone who is worried about their relationship with alcohol, Recover Alaska will be at the event to provide resources.
