AK-RISES, Alaska – Resiliency In Schools for Educational Success (Fairbanks)
AK-RISES is a partnership between the Alaska Child Trauma Center, State of Alaska Department of Education and Early Development, and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District to expand mental health services in Fairbanks schools for children who have experienced trauma. The goal of the five year demonstration project is to develop a statewide model for delivering mental health services in schools.
With schools closed currently during the Coronavirus outbreak, we continue to work with the school district to identify children and families who are struggling and provide support through telehealth.
