Martha Nikolai Ross Binkley, also known as Shortcake or Sweetpea, is a Yupik Eskimo who grew up in the “Boon-toolies” between Talkeetna and Willow. She grew up in a teepee, and hunted, trapped and lived off the land. She now lives in Anchorage where she is in mental health and substance use recovery – a happy and grateful sober woman for six months! This is work during recovery.

We love the sentiment of @Alaska Children's Trust CEO Trevor Storrs in a recent opinion piece -Mandatory Supporters Before Mandatory Reporters: "If you see a family struggling, reach out and offer support. Maybe that means lending a sympathetic ear to a parent in need or calling 2-1-1 to connect a family with resources. MATCH - ADTC is for kids ages 6 to 17 who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and behavior issues. It is designed to be flexible to provide a wide range of tools depending one each child's needs and strengths.
