The POWER Center is now open at 2601 Arctic Boulevard!

Our newly expanded POWER Center youth drop-in and outreach program has more space for cooking, games, activities, and services. The Center now offers:

• Free laundry
• Free on-site showers
• A large kitchen to prepare warm meals (periodic cooking lessons offered as well)
• Computers to access the internet, work on job applications, etc.
• Weekly presentations on Wednesdays @ 2:30
• Weekly game days on Thursdays @ 2:30 pm
• Food, clothing and hygiene products as needed

The Center is staffed by trained peer outreach workers who help connect youth with community resources, including free bus passes, housing options, job training opportunities and mental health services.

We’ll have an Open House from 3:30 – 5:00 pm, with a short presentation and ribbon-cutting at 4:00 pm.
